Design Methods and Technology Project

This module involved redesigning a product or designing a new one. I decided to design a 7 day digital alarm clock that would allow 7 alarms to be set, one for each day.

The module was assessed in the form of a written report and a presentation. This involved lots of research into the product, how it would work and the materials that would be used. A questionnaire was used to find out what consumers want when buying a digital clock. The research was used to create a PDS (product design specification) and later design the shap of the clock.

I sketched out lots of different designs for the product but decided to settle on a simple design so that it would fit into people homes. Here is a rendering of the final design of the clock that I modelled my design in a 3d program.
